These Willow trees like to grow near the banks of the river, this fertile valley at one time was the bread basket of the state. Mora was founded in the 1500's by Coronado. JLC

It has been a while since I looked at your paintings. Your brush strokes capture the spirit and beauty of your surroundings. They are all lovely.
Our caterpillars have now morphed and are in the chrysalis stage. It is so rewarding to see the kids with their wideeyed curiosity. Today I had the kids work on symetry in butterflies. They are prediciting what their butterflies will look like. They used crayons and did an amazing job. Next week I will let them use water color.

Thank you for the inspiring words, these little paintings really have been a great help in my technique.
Hearing about your students butterfly project takes me right back to my own childhood curiosities: that have now become my adulthood curiousities! Let me know what kind of butterflies emerge. JLC
