A "Journal of Paintings" by Jon Conkey, Themeworks was a "one-year-long" record of my progress in the art of "oil painting", and an attempt to paint 365 paintings in one year. Changing the monthly theme allowed me to focus on subjects I may not have otherwise painted. As an artist, I was looking for discovery and breakthroughs in my works through this daily practice.

This is an outstanding paintng; you really get a feel for the cold, crisp atmosphere. You make it look easy! I like your painting called "Night Tracks", too.
Laura, Thanks for the feedback, I was trying to add people into the mix this time; it always seems that I paint so much looser when I do; probably from my fear of having to paint everyone with any sort of detail.
Leslie, You are well aware of experimentation, thanks for your inputs. These comments really do affect my work, at least I will know what others think of my attempts.
